Melissa Wegman has wide-reaching experience in the motion picture industry. Melissa began her career in motion picture advertising working on high profile motion picture campaigns where she associated with notable directors such as Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Danny DeVito, George Lucas and Tim Burton. Her vendor associations include Cimarron, Seiniger, Kaleidoscope, Interlink and McClatchy Trugman as well as studio executive positions within Universal, Sony Pictures, MGM and Warner Home Video advertising and marketing divisions.
Her insightful coverage and notes of major feature films won her an invitation to serve first as a development associate for Hollywood Pictures, where she developed the high profile development tracker THE STUDIO SYSTEM under the direction of Jeffrey Katzenberg and then later to a position for producer Larry Gordon and FOX-affiliated company, LARGO, where she worked on the development of Die Hard and its subsequent sequels, Field Of Dreams, Predator, Predator 2, The Rocketeer; amongst twenty other productions. Ms. Wegman is currently associated with motion picture projects in development at Touchstone Pictures, Warner Bros. and Warner Bros. Home Video, Paramount, Sony, Universal and SCI FI Channel.
After seven years in motion picture development, Ms. Wegman entered feature film production as a post production and visual effect supervisor for the Motion Picture Bond Company. She oversaw the production, post production and visual effects on over eighty motion pictures spanning the gamut from feature films such as My Big Fat Greek Wedding to PBS television series productions such as Jay Jay The Jet Plane; this all done within a period of two years. This achievement led to stints on visual effect and animation productions with DreamWorks, Disney and Pixar.
Melissa Wegman continued to broaden her scope becoming a product specialist at Blockbuster's "Indy" production and distribution entity DEJ, where she was responsible for all post production and creative advertising servicing working co-operatively with Sony, Lionsgate, MGM, Fox and Warner Home Video. It was while at DEJ Ms. Wegman worked alongside Indy production "Media 8" on the release of the Oscar-winning Monster, starring Charlize Theron, Lionsgate on Crash and The Matador, now currently a Weinstein Company release.
Currently, she serves as President and CEO at ClearVision MPG where she oversees a healthy slate of feature film and television broadcast releases yearly. Currently she is overseeing a slate of thirty motion picture, broadcast network production and television series projects. ClearVision product is distributed by Warner Bros.
Ms. Wegman has a Master of Fine Arts degree from USC Cinema School. |
